Selected paintings

The original paintings I currently have chosen to feature in my portfolio:

Nature, the beast (2023 - 2024), 120 x 150 cm: acrylic, oil, linseed oil, plaster, crayons, spray paint, gravel, marble flour, fire on canvas. € 1.600,-
At sea (2023 - 2024), 120 x 150 cm: acrylic, oil, linseed oil, plaster, crayons, spray paint, silk, fire on canvas. € 1.600,-
I see something new in myself (2023 - 2024), 120 x 150 cm: acrylic, oil, linseed oil, plaster, cement, crayons, spray paint, cola, fire on canvas. € 1.600,-
Do my image surfaces seem too cluttered? In many ways this is also how I experience our contemporary culture . . . .

Although my paintings may seem to branch off in many directions my fondness for worn, patinated and weathered surfaces runs through them like a common thread: I love to mimic nature's decay processes and have just always been fascinated by hidden layers and traces of use and wear and tear.

In transit (2023 - 2024), 100 x 100 cm: acrylic, oil, cold wax, linseed oil, charcoal, crayons, spray paint, floatsom on canvas. € 900,-

Home-longing (2023 - 2024), 100 x 100 cm: acrylic, oil, linseed oil, charcoal, crayons, spray paint, floatsom on canvas. € 900,-
My pictures are multi-layered, exactly as I see and experience the reality around us. We humans objectively see the same thing and yet experience something fundamentally different. In this context, art can be an eye opener; more necessary today than ever.
Blind hen (2020 - 2021), 100 x 135 cm: acrylic, spray paint, charcoal, chalk, espresso on canvas. Sold.
The creative downtime-triptych Free spiritFree play and Free time (2003 - 2020), 78,5 x 78,5 cm each: mixed media on mdf. Privately held.

Buying wall art is a bit like buying a new car: you should view the painting in the right setting and be sure you have a good match.
If you are interested in one of my available paintings, I recommend that you initially borrow it for 14 days. At a minimum, you have to see the painting in real life.
Please contact me directly for further arrangements.

Why buy my art?
When you buy my art, you buy into the energy and the thoughts I have invested in the creation process: you buy into the narrative of a low-key, grounded life on your own terms.
