Selected paintings

The original paintings I currently have chosen to feature in my portfolio:

Enter the surface (2024)
Preliminary search (2023 - 2024)
The wood for the trees (2023 - 2024)
Nature, the beast (2023 - 2024)
Do my image surfaces seem too cluttered? In many ways this is also how I experience our contemporary culture . . . .
At sea (2023 - 2024)
Although my paintings may seem to branch off in many directions my fondness for worn, patinated and weathered surfaces runs through them like a common thread: I love to mimic nature's decay processes and have just always been fascinated by hidden layers and traces of use and wear and tear.

Each piece serves as a gentle memento mori, reminding us that our existence is fleeting: we are, like all things, simply matter in motion, subject to the inexorable march of time.
Blind hen (2020 - 2021), 100 x 135 cm: acrylic, spray paint, charcoal, chalk, espresso on canvas. Sold.
The creative downtime-triptych Free spiritFree play and Free time (2003 - 2020), 78,5 x 78,5 cm each: mixed media on mdf. Privately held.

Selecting wall art is akin to choosing a new vehicle—it requires your careful consideration in the appropriate context to ensure a perfect fit.

If you're intrigued by one of my available pieces, I suggest you take advantage of a 14-day trial period. This allows you to experience the artwork in your own space, as viewing a painting in person is essential for you to truly appreciate its impact and determine its suitability for your environment.

(Unless you're purchasing it as an investment, of course; in that case, the ideal time to buy was last month, and the next best time is now).
